An exhibition with works of Bill Viola in Salzburg.


Magnificent works of one of the world's most renowned video artists, Bill Viola, are on display at the Museum der Moderne Salzburg. The exhibition features a variety of Viola's installations, including three of his most iconic pieces: "The Path," "Night Vigil" and "The Raft."

Viola is widely considered to be one of the leading figures in the field of video art, and his work has been featured in major museums and galleries around the world. His pieces often explore universal themes such as birth, death, and the human condition.

I experienced on my visit at the exhibition something truly unique. Strong recommendation for a visit. The exhibition is open until the end of October.


Eine Ausstellung mit Werken von Bill Viola in Salzburg.


Im Salzburger Museum der Moderne sind die großartigen Werke eines der weltweit bekanntesten Videokünstler, Bill Viola, zu sehen. Die Ausstellung zeigt eine Vielzahl von Violas Installationen, darunter drei seiner bekanntesten Werke: "The Path", "Night Vigil" und "The Raft".

Viola gilt weithin als eine der führenden Persönlichkeiten auf dem Gebiet der Videokunst. Seine Arbeiten wurden in großen Museen und Galerien auf der ganzen Welt ausgestellt. In seinen Werken geht es um universelle Themen wie Geburt, Tod und die Bedingungen des Menschseins.

Ich habe bei meinem Besuch in der Ausstellung etwas wirklich Einzigartiges erlebt. Eine klare Empfehlung für einen Besuch. Die Ausstellung ist noch bis Ende Oktober zu sehen.

It is a longing for simplicity in a complex world.  Minimalism, which emerged in the mid-20th century, has lost none of its relevance for me. People often think of art as a representation of some aspect of the real world - a landscape, a person, an object - or as a reflection of an experience or a feeling. My paintings do not represent an external reality; rather, the viewer can respond to what they see in front of them.
